Restoration of Rights Community Question/Answer Session and Clinic

May 28, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

May 28 @ 6:00 pm -7:00 pm
Take back your voice! Come hear why your vote matters.

We will help ex-felons submit the improved, simple application.

Nearly 6 million citizens can’t vote because of a felony conviction.

Felon voting laws prevent more minority voters from voting than voter ID laws.
Some 350,000 Virginians have completed their prison sentences, yet cannot vote.
Now, it’s easier to get rights restored because:
Drug offenses have been removed from the list of violent felonies.
Non-violent felons – 1 page application for automatic restoration of rights.
Waiting time for a violent felony conviction is 3 years, not 5.
Virginia is 4th highest in the nation for ex-felon disenfranchisement.

WE CAN change that!
