Your feedback is needed!

Next year, and for many years to come, the Virginia General Assembly will be meeting and making decisions that change our lives. We have to get into the habit of watching them, and having an impact on them — just like we take care of our families, our homes, our neighborhoods, and even, by recycling and limiting our energy use, our planet.

VOP wants to make changing policy in Virginia a practical part of your life. It will be a big help if, after the 2007 Virginia General Assembly, you let us know how it went for you, and how we did or didn’t help. Why not put a note on your calendar now to send us a note in early March?

You can mail your thoughts to After the GA, Virginia Organizing Project, 703 Concord Avenue, Charlottesville VA 22903-5208, or e-mail them to llyates@shentel.net with a subject line “After the GA.”

Let us know what’s important to you. Below are some questions that are important to us. We welcome any information you have time to send us, and we will use it to do a better job.

  1. Did you use the Legislative Issue of virginia.organizing to help you have an impact on the General Assembly? If so, did you use:
    1. Communicating with the General Assembly information?
    2. Information on how the General Assembly worked?
    3. Information on particular issues, and if so, which ones?
    4. Other?
  2. Did you contact your legislators? How did the process work for you? What was good or bad?
  3. What else did you do to change the outcome of the General Assembly? How did it work for you?
  4. What do you think Virginians need to know about to get more active in influencing the General Assembly?
  5. Should we do an issue like this next year?
Thanks for all you do!
